WP2, How to access the WBG Pilot Line resources and services
The WBG pilot line will build on the current facilities operating in Italy, Poland, Sweden, Finland, France, Austria and Germany where industrial processes will be defined and optimised, and demonstrators will be qualified to be then tested on the market. The WBG pilot line will be characterised by the implementation of new manufacturing techniques that enable the integration of different materials to achieve new devices and systems based on composite semiconductor materials. This initiative aligns with the EU Chips Act to bolster the EU’s semiconductor industry and support European technological sovereignty. Collaboration with other pilot lines in Europe will help build a tightly interconnected European chip ecosystem.Core to the PL is enabling the access to external users, with particular, but not exclusive, attention to SMEs and Research Institutions and Universities. Which means guaranteeing the possibility to take advantage of the unprecedented availability of know-how and resources to enter the WBG strategic market.
